Measured result

39.7%

increase in conversion rate in 3 months

Over a like-for-like 90-day period vs the prior period, despite a 9.8% drop in sessions and a harder seasonal comparison

01The brief

A store with plenty of visitors and not enough of them buying.

Harry Benmore makes mattresses, and its website already had no shortage of traffic. The problem wasn’t getting people there, it was what happened once they arrived: too many left without finding the right mattress, or without buying it at all.

02What I changed

No rebuild. Just relentless, month-on-month improvement.

  • Conversion rate optimisation across the entire buying process
  • A “mattress finder” that gets customers to the right product faster
  • Continuous website improvements, driven by real customer behaviour

This is exactly the shape of work Shared Success is built for: not a one-off project, but a live website getting better every month, backed by data instead of guesswork.

03The result

Conversion rate up 39.7%. With fewer visitors, not more.

Sessions fell 9.8% as paid social spend was pulled back. Sales still grew 30.9%. Orders still grew 40.8%. That’s what a 39.7% jump in conversion rate does, and it happened against a harder seasonal comparison too, since the prior period had Black Friday, Christmas and the January sales working in its favour, not this one. The improvement wasn’t a single fix either: it showed up at every stage of the funnel, from add-to-cart through to checkout.

Getting traffic, but not enough of it converts?

Improvement programmes start with what the site produces today and a clear idea of what it should produce next.
