A wedding photographer stuck with a website an offshore developer couldn’t finish.

Steve Barber photographs weddings in Kent. He’d hired a cheap offshore developer to build his new site, but the build stalled once it ran into problems beyond that developer’s technical ability. Steve was left with something unfinished, that he couldn’t launch, and no clear route to getting it over the line.

A half-built site he’d come to put up with, not one he was proud to send couples to.

Steve reached out asking for help finishing what he had. Once I looked at the build, the more useful path wasn’t patching around its limitations, it was starting again properly, so he’d end up with a site he actually loved rather than one he’d learned to live with.

After a few calls to pin down a road map, I designed and built an image-led portfolio from scratch, with custom scrolling animations and transitions that let the photography do the talking. Underneath it, the content and structure were organised around the searches couples make when they are looking for a Kent wedding photographer.
